Dealing with marital infidelity

Dealing with marital infidelity can be very hard. The amount of abuse and trauma that infidelity can cause can be exhausting. Coping with martial infidelity is one of the hardest processes to go through. Seeking help and guidance is very important during this process. Coping with martial infidelity needs to be taken in steps to assure your well being. In this article I will discuss the steps to take when dealing with marital infidelity. This is a map for those who are going through this terrible situation and are seeking help.

1. Look at the situation and analyze how you truly feel about it. You will need to dig deep and hard and see what you are feeling. You determine how you truly feel and this can range from anger, rage, resentment, heartbreak and even total disbelief. Get a piece of paper and list down all of your thoughts and emotions.

2. Determine your next move. Are you going to try and work things out or do you want to leave? Coping with martial infidelity is very hard. So think long and hard about if there is any chance to rekindle the relationship. Do not worry about what they want it is all about what you want. Remember that they did cheat on you! So the question is will they do it again? Take out another sheet of paper and list down what you want to do. Think long and hard and write down any ideas that come to mind. Even if they are negative this is okay because you are digging deep down inside. Just do not act on any negative or self destructive ideas. Just remember there are billions of people in the world. You can easily start a new relationship within someone you can trust.

3. Confront the cheater! Dealing with marital infidelity is hard but you need to truly face the situation. Stand up for yourself and press for answers, reasons and then tell them about how you feel. Even if they do want to hear you at least do your best to make your case. If they want to remain with you they will listen. Confront the issue at hand and do not back down nor be manipulated any longer.

4. Surround your self with friends, family and with those who will listen. You do not need to be talking to the one who cheated on you. You need ideas, inspiration and others to help you through the process of dealing with marital infidelity. Even picking a counselor who deals with marital infidelity issues is a great source. Bottom line you need someone to lend an ear and help you with this process.

5. Exercise and staying active is very important. Do not sit and lay around all day. Remember what is done has been done and is the past. You need ways to let go when coping with marital infidelity. Lifting weights, running, aerobics and even boxing, martial arts are all great ways keep your mind off the negative emotions or feelings. You need a way to remold and develop and strengthen your heart. Exercise is a great way and motivator to help you in the process. Go to the movies and even go to your favorite restaurants and bars.

6. Finding a new relationship is a great way to move on. No need to rush or jump the gun to get into anything serious. Date and pick and choose as you like. Be on your guard but do not over analyze or feel that everyone could be a cheater. This is a time to have fun and let go and meet new faces. Choose what you like and who you want to date and have fun. This is your life and it is your choice to pick and choose. Have a drink and do not feel shy to splurge on great foods and good company.

These are a few ways of dealing with marital infidelity. Remember coping with martial infidelity can be tough but you are not alone. Just have a plan of action and then move forward. The past is in the past but the future can be very different. Coping with marital infidelity is part of the process so pick and choose to cope properly.
